Tour Itinerary:

Cairo trip starts with pick up from your hotel in Hurghada by our representative. Drive to Hurghada Airport by our air-conditioned vehicle to board your flight to Cairo. In arrival in Cairo airport you will be accompanied by your Egyptology expert tour guide to start your Cairo tour by visiting The Pyramids of Giza the most famous monuments of ancient Egypt.  These massive stone structures were built around 5000 years ago on a rocky desert plateau close to the Nile River. But the intriguing Egyptian Pyramids were more than just tombs for kings. The mysteries surrounding their symbolism, design and purpose have inspired passionate debate. It is likely that many of these mysteries will never be solved

The greatest achievements of the pyramid builders were the Pyramids of Giza, built near the capital city of Memphis for the fourth dynasty kings Khufu ( Cheops Pyramid ), Khafre ( Chephren Pyramid )and Menkaure (  Mykerinos Pyramid) who ruled through 2589-2504 BCE. The people of ancient Egypt believed that death on Earth was the start of a journey to the next world.  The embalmed body of the king was entombed underneath or within the pyramid to protect it and allow his transformation and ascension to the afterlife, and a place among the gods. Cairo tour also includes a visit to the mysterious Great Sphinx, with human head and lion's body, is a colossal sculpture cut from the Giza bedrock.  It appears to preside over the Giza necropolis. Lunch meal will be served during Cairo tour in a high quality restaurant.
Then you will be taken to The Egyptian Museum located in Tahrir Square where the Egyptian Revolution took place 25th. Jan. 2011. The Egyptian Museum in Cairo is one of the first stops on most people's itineraries when traveling to Egypt. With over 120,000 artifacts, the museum houses an incredible display depicting ancient Egypt's glorious reign. One major highlight is the famous Pharaoh Tutankhamen tomb collection on the museum's upper floor. The tomb of "King Tut" (as he is better known) was found remarkably intact by Howard Carter in the Valley of the Kings in 1923. Artifacts on display include the gold funerary mask and sarcophagus, four huge gilded boxes that fit inside each other, an ancient trumpet, thrones, and even a royal toilet seat.

Also upstairs is the royal Mummy Room, which houses 11 royal mummies from pharaonic times. It has a significant entrance fee and does not allow photos, but the adjacent (free) room has a nice assortment of mummified animals and birds. Then move on to Coptic Cairo - home of some of the oldest Christian churches in the world. You’ll retrace the steps where Mary and Joseph walked thousands of years ago. Firstly visit Babylon Fortress, then enjoy visiting the Hanging Church, also known as El Muallaqa that was dedicated to the Virgin Mary, where you will feel relaxed as you enter. Before leaving for Hurghada you will have a small shopping tour to the famous Khan El Khalili Bazaars in case you are interested to pick some souvenirs. Then you will be transferred to Cairo airport to fly back to Hurghada with direct transfer to your hotel. (end of Cairo tour )
